Welcome to Nola-Press. Nola-Press presents the writings of the people who know New Orleans best. Here they present their thoughts about our unique city, or about whatever strikes their fancy. Nola-Press does not edit their work, nor restrict the topics on which they wish to comment. You may agree with their views, or you may take issue with them. However, it is certain you will always find their cometary well written and held to the highest standards of professionalism.

We are just beginning this adventure, and so you may find some rough edges in the technical presentation.

Thank you. Crawford Carroll, Administrator

I was a newspaper man at The Times-Picayune for 42 years.

For the last 24 years at the paper, I edited copy and wrote about the stock markets, banking, finance, economics and real estate. I plan to write about the same subjects on Nola-Press.

What I will contribute is a resident's viewpoint on matters that are of concern, and concerning, to people living in New Orleans.

My usual areas of interest are focused on foods, spirits, and wines. And we will be covering those important topics.

Dare-devil Dictionary

APHORISH =Wisdom that is easier to remember than to imitate...one of the better manifestrations of conversatrion is when one aphorism can be improved on by a counter aphorism, e.g. "Absence makes the heart grow fonder" with "out of sight out of mind".
